Why 9? Because I have chosen these entries based on the number of comments posted, and if I include the entries whose number of comments would put them on the bubble? I'd have more than 10. That's why I have some honorable mentions. ;-) I find it interesting that not a single one was a Q & A!
This is the first time I've tried this. I was inspired by foodie blogs that I regularly visit, that did the same thing. In fact I did it on my other blog too! (If you don't follow me there yet, please do.) Maybe some time Andy and I can make a list of our favorite TJF posts!
I hope you have as much fun reading this list (and the entries themselves) as I did compiling it. The coming year is sure to have much excitement in store for The Jeopardy! Fan. I have some ideas that are more like things I hope will happen. Some things I know about, some I don't! You the reader have an open invitation to tell us what you think can make the blog better. Thanks for reading. We <3 you. Without further ado, the honorable mentions first (along with the parts of each post that appear to have generated at least one of the comments):
     And the top posts:
  • The One Where a Bad Wager Snowballed [By the way, anyone: did Thomas's misspelling change the pronunciation of the word?]
  • Fuzzy Washington Math [Andrew wagered 3000 on this much simpler clue: "Obama's number as president divided by the number of heads carved on Mount Rushmore."]
  • Paging former contestants: a poll ["Before I get to today's episode, Andy mentioned I'd be posting a poll for former contestants. It's inspired by this thread on the message boards. Would you play again?"]
  • There's got to be a year after ["And I'd still love to know where all the previous season airs."]
  • Colby conquers K2 today ["In A Binder Full of Women: "Smile and say 'cheese' for this woman, who's usually behind the camera, photographing famous folks."]
  • If You Unbuild It... [2004 College Jeopardy! champion Keith Williams has started a wagering strategy blog; you can find that over at The Final Wager - go check it out!]
  • Teach Me How to Jeopardy!? [Interestingly enough, Drew has shared our frustration on his Daily Double wagering, having forgotten some of the details of his games in between taping and airing!]
  • This indecision's bugging me [I don't know when we'll post again, but we haven't gone away, and we won't.]
  • A Nickel for your thoughts [I knew "cathode," but what was the other acceptable response? I can't understand Mr. Trebek, and closed-captioning didn't have it. It sounded like "turman." I could look it up, but I wonder if anyone knows it.]
